First Quilt Ever...

This is my first quilt, which took me about three weeks, working a few hours a day, to make.

It's a large lap quilt and I was learning as I went, using youtube and a host of online quilters for information. Thanks to Elizabeth Hartman from Oh Fransson! for the pattern. It would have been impossible to have to think of placing and balancing the colors.

It's not perfect, but it's ok for a first try! It's a
present for my god-child, Ava who has just turned seven. She probably won't appreciate it until she's a bit older.

It's definitely given me the quilter bug and I can't wait to start on my next quilt, something special for myself. I'm busy discovering the great fabric designers out there, including Kasse Fassett, and can't wait to but interesting combinations together.
